The clinical internship placement is a supervised, unpaid professional practical experience (PPE) in a health information department of a hospital and or non-acute care facility. The PPE internship provides students with the opportunity to put the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom into practice. The students will work in a variety of healthcare facilities including hospitals, physician offices, State Health Department, Mental Health Facilities, EHR Vendors, Home Health companies, etc.
